REAL WEDDINGS

Lara Miller

lara_thWhen I finally found Sylvia it was like the clouds parted and I knew this crazy idea of a destination wedding for fifty of our cloends/famsest friily would be a reality. What I didn’t know, or really could have anticipated, was how much she and her entire staff exceeded my expectations.

With approximately 10 months of planning, Sylvia and I were in contact on an almost weekly basis. What makes this worth mentioning is that she made time for me and never made me feel like I deserved less attention due to a conservative budget. I also appreciated that she never attempted to oversell me on any additional services and negotiated on my behalf for the best option. Sylvia exemplifies honesty in a business that can often be known to exploit. It was also important to me to use local vendors as much as possible and this is how Costa Rica Paradise Weddings naturally operate which gave me great respect for them not only as a company but as a vital part of the communities in which they work.

On the wedding day Sylvia and her team were exactly where they said they would be preparing early in the morning for 2 locations (we were married on the beach and the reception was at the house we rented for the week). When I saw the beach front location for the first time, walking down the aisle, I was speechless; it was everything I could have imagined and more, as cliché as that sounds. The cocktail hour that followed was simple yet perfect with the wedding party joining us with drinks on the beach for an amazing sunset. The reception followed and everything ran seamless, the staff directing and cueing food, music, and all the other details that I was quite happy to overlook.

With all of this being said, the wedding planner search in Costa Rica can be overwhelming, I encourage you to slow down and think about the vibe of the day you want to give not only yourself but your guests. Sylvia and her team gave me and my family the gift of relaxation and allowed us all to enjoy the moment. I’m not sure how many brides have that great privilege; it was savored then and now.

Keep up the fantastic work and I hope to see you soon!

With Gratitude,
Lara Miller
